Can you see your way forward?
I feel incredibly blessed to be able to take long walks through beautiful countryside and really give myself time and space to focus on what matters.
I was out in the woods today, contemplating my amazing clients and what motivates people to work with me 1:1 or through an Interiors Therapy coaching programme.
For the majority of clients they call me in when something in their current situation means they are stagnating – at work, in relationships, in their career.
It's a little like being lost in a thicket where the ground is covered in brambles, ivy, hidden roots and thorns to trip you, tear your clothes and scratch you. Tree trunks and dead wood block your way and there’s no easy obvious route to your destination.
For some people, that’s just fine. They’ve reached a point in their career, relationship or life where they aren't going anywhere, but can’t imagine things being any better. They simply accept this is their lot in life and it’s too much effort to change things – or perhaps change terrifies them.
They recognize things are probably harder than they need to be, with tension and stress at work and apathy, loneliness or family challenges at home, but despite knowing that, they prefer to stay trapped in their small patch of woodland because they don’t have the tools to clear a way through.
Most clients describe feelings of this nature when they contact me. The career has stalled, relationships are on the rocks, something is always going wrong…
When they invest in Interiors Therapy to revitalise their home, it’s the equivalent of finding a clear path through the forest. The process clears away the metaphorical brambles, dead wood and branches blocking or diverting their path. They can see clearly, and although there are trees ahead, there are options for the way forward and a choice to take the unhindered route without emotional or physical baggage. They are in control of where they want to go and how to get there.
So if you’re feeling blocked, trapped in your current situation or as if something always gets between you and what you want in your life, invest in Interiors Therapy.
I’m not going to lie to you, it’s going to be emotional, it’s going to be messy and it’s going to be physically exhausting – but when the thorns and dead wood are removed from your life, it’s liberating and you can’t help but move forward.
