Feng Shui Remedy Inspiration - Water

As your Feng Shui energy changes slightly each year, the remedies required this year may not be the same in years to come. </p><p><br></p><p><strong><a href="https://interiorstherapy.groovekart.com/services-1/2-feng-shui-report" target="_self" class="gdil54">Request your bespoke Feng Shui report.</a></strong></p><p><strong> </strong></p><p>Water remedies might seem a little scary at first, but that’s because people assume they have to buy those tabletop water features which trickle water constantly and make you want to rush to the bathroom. We seldom recommend these very small water features for two reasons;</p><p><br></p><p>1. They can be very irritating</p><p>2. The remedy needs a minimum of 1litre of water and these have a small reservoir which often evaporates meaning they need to be topped up frequently.</p><p><br></p><p>Life is too short to constantly monitor a whirring, dribbling torture machine so instead we get creative to bring in both beauty and practicality!</p><p><br></p><p>We use a large vase (aim for 5+ litres) and ideally have it made of metal, glass or resin. Avoid clay or ceramic as they represent earth energy. At a push you could even use a plastic bucket to get you started.</p><p><br></p><p>Then we add a <strong><a href="https://amzn.to/3BugSHe" target="_self" class="gdil54">little electrical pump like this from Amazon</a>. </strong>The water does need to move 24/7* so if you’re doing your own research aim for a silent or ultra-quiet pump which will move a minimum of 10 litres. If you live in a hard water area you might prefer to avoid clear glass as this shows a limesecale tidemark after a couple of months. Lastly, choose a vase or container with a wide and stable bottom – this is one remedy you want to stay upright!</p><p><br></p><p>This <a href="https://www.ufurnish.com/en-gb/p/a/5909380/acel-green-glass-vase-large?affid=interiors-therapy" target="_self" class="gdil54">Acel green glass vase by Perch and Parrow</a> would work well. Your fingers might be itching to do stuff so make the most of the time available to put your home in order!</p><p>This is the perfect time to tackle any clutter, deal with unfinished business and take the opportunity to review your possessions and assess whether they are supportive of the life you choose for yourself in 2023.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>January 29</strong><sup><strong>th</strong></sup><strong>- February 3</strong><sup><strong>rd</strong></sup></p><p>All homes love a ‘spring clean’ and whether, like us, you go to town and deep-clean the place from top to bottom or you have a quick wipe-round with a damp cloth is entirely up to you. </p><p>If you have a safe external space where you can put your metal out in the sun or overnight on the 3<sup>rd</sup> it’s a super way to re-charge it. Give it a wash or wipe down first so it’s lovely and fresh when it comes back inside. If you aren’t able to recharge your metal outside, don’t worry! There’s something else you can do…</p><p><br></p><p><strong>February 4</strong><sup><strong>th </strong></sup>(the 5<sup>th</sup> and even the 6th is fine too!) </p><p>Set aside at least an hour today to move your remedies. Don’t rush this please, it’s better to be in a calm, relaxed frame of mind as you do so.</p><p>As you place your remedies, consciously thank them for the work they will do on your behalf this year.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Metal</strong></p><p>Refer to your floor-plan and notice where any metal remedies need to be moved or the weight adjusted. If you haven’t recharged the metal outside, even if it’s remaining in the same place this year, wipe it down to clear any sticky energy so it’s reactivated to support you in 2023. You can also use smoke from a bundle of dried herbs to cleanse the energy. I am now using <a href="https://amzn.to/3ZpCCic" target="_blank">lavender bundles</a> rather than white sage for this purpose. </p><p>Amazon Com Link <a href="https://amzn.to/3Xa38dS" target="_self" class="gdil54">Lavender bundle</a></p><p><br></p><p><strong>Moving metal</strong></p><p>Check the batteries on moving metal remedies and relocate them to whichever area needs them this year.</p><p>** Remove any plants from areas which need Moving Metal for the duration of this Feng Shui year because wood energy and moving metal energy work against one another, so it won’t help you or your plants to have them in the same place.**</p><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong>Water</strong></p><p>Empty, clean out and refill water remedies so the pump works efficiently. If you need a water remedy in a bedroom this year, remember you can turn it off at night if it disturbs your sleep. If you are using a salt lamp, wipe gently with a damp cloth.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Fire</strong></p><p>If you are using fire-coloured cushions and throws, wash and dry to refresh them and reignite the fire energy. Wipe down any other fire remedies.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Wood</strong></p><p>Remember living plants are the best wood remedy, so be sure they are healthy and remove any dead leaves. A sick plant will not enhance your Feng Shui so replace it with something more robust like a Money Plant (aka Jade Plant) which will work doubly hard for your success.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Consider a Space Clearing Ceremony</strong></p><p>This is by no means essential, but it is a lovely way to welcome in the new year energy and flush out any hidden stuck vibes from 2022. </p><p>Page 134 of <a href="https://amzn.to/3GmFXGe" target="_blank">‘Welcome Home, How Stuff Makes or Breaks your Relationship’</a> gives details of a simple and effective space clearing ceremony. Use Feng Shui to connect a fractured home

That’s something we work on together.</p><p><br></p><p>With most homes there’s one ‘bagua’ or Feng Shui map to work with. It’s simple and straightforward to see which areas of the home require a remedy.</p><p><br></p><p>Remedies could be metal, water, earth, wood or fire and one of the most enjoyable parts of the process is to come up with a creative, visually rewarding way to install the remedy so it works beautifully and unobtrusively with the space.</p><p><br></p><h3><strong>More complex homes might require two baguas. The one I’m currently working on requires three!</strong></h3><p><br></p><p>The client has explained how their home/life balance is out of kilter, the businesses they own have been significantly less successful since extending the property to add two new sections, and a new commercial venture is hitting obstacles at every turbulent stage.</p><p><br></p><h3><strong>Money, communication and relationships within the family are strained and it sometimes feels as though everything is working against them. </strong></h3><p><br></p><p>Looking at their floorplan, I’m not surprised.</p><p><br></p><p>Their home has three specific spaces, none of which have blended comfortably with the others. The place feels disjointed and disconnected, mirroring the lives of the people who live there.</p><p><br></p><h3><strong>In 2021 and 2022 there is a significant requirement for additional metal in every home to connect the building to the energy of the land and create more positive outcomes, especially in the south east which relates to wealth and blessings and is under significant pressure this year as it was in 2020.</strong></h3><p><br></p><p>That said, every home is unique and it’s not as simple as bunging a chunk of metal into the south east of your house and assuming that’s the job done! There always has to be balance and that’s why having a professional Feng Shui report makes such a difference, regardless of the size of the house or apartment.</p><p><br></p><p>Metal remedies have to be carefully curated – you really wouldn’t want a metal bed-frame cutting into your energy and distorting your sleep patterns for example, but a piece of metal artwork or cast iron weight concealed under a piece of furniture can work wonders in a part of the home where metal is required. </p><p><br></p><p>So for my client, having a home with three baguas means a minimum of 27 areas which potentially need a remedy – more where there are two floors…</p><p><br></p><h3><strong>This gives her a wonderful opportunity to use her imagination to bring her home together energetically so she and her partner can see their lives and businesses thrive again.</strong></h3><p><br></p><p>I’m so excited to see how this works out for them when all the remedies are in place.</p><p><br></p><p>To find out more about getting your own Feng Shui report contact InteriorsTherapy.com for a conversation about your specific needs.</p>
